She is the co-founder of Flare Journal, the first photography journal dedicated exclusively to the climate crisis. Her series Portraits of a Planet in Crisis was the featured project at Graphite Arts Center’s Summer 2025 exhibit, Seeing Our Planet. DiGiano is the recipient of the Graphite Arts Center Curator’s Choice Award and several undergraduate research grants from Montana State University. She is also the recipient of the 2024  Mirrielees Prize for Creative Writing. DiGiano holds a B.F.A. in film and photography from Montana State University.
